The Crossing represents the quiet moments that exist between destinations—the places where journeys are made, obstacles are overcome, and new paths begin. While previous chapters have centered on the figures of the American West, this piece shifts the focus to the land itself, reminding us that every great story is shaped as much by the terrain as the traveler.

Created from a single slab of live-edge maple, the natural contours of the wood form the banks of a winding river, filled with hand-poured turquoise-tinted resin that evokes the pristine waters cutting through the western wilderness. Framed in solid walnut, every curve, grain pattern, and edge remains unique, ensuring that no two pieces could ever be recreated.

Like the chapters before it, The Crossing is about resilience, movement, and the spaces between where we’ve been and where we’re headed.
