‘No Way Back’ is the first work in the ‘West of Everything’ collection and establishes the emotional foundation for the series.
The figure advances forward as the past burns behind him. There is no confrontation, no hesitation, no spectacle, only movement. The faceless cowboy becomes an archetype of transition, representing the moment after a decisive ending, when identity is stripped down and direction replaces doubt.
This work speaks to irreversible choice and quiet resolve. The fire is not chaos, it is closure. What remains is the acceptance that rebirth often begins only once there is nothing left to return to.
‘West of Everything’ collection
(2026)
‘West of Everything’ is a collection centered on irreversible moments, the quiet thresholds where the past is no longer accessible and the future has not yet fully formed.
Using the visual language of the American West, the collection reframes the cowboy as a figure of transition rather than myth or heroism. Faceless protagonists, distant fires, and emptied landscapes appear throughout the works, emphasizing consequence, resolve, and forward motion. These scenes are not about action, but about aftermath, when the decision has already been made and there is no return.
The West, long associated with freedom and reinvention, becomes here a psychological landscape. Structures burn, identities dissolve, and rebirth is earned rather than promised. Sentimentality is deliberately avoided in favor of restraint and honesty.
West of Everything examines what it means to cross a line that cannot be uncrossed, to accept loss, release attachment, and continue forward without ceremony.
