WEST OF EVERYTHING — CHAPTER 12
GODSPEED
There comes a point when there’s nothing left to hold onto.
No turning back. No guarantees. Just the road ahead and the choice to take it.
“Godspeed” captures that final moment before departure — a send-off into the unknown. Rooted in the spirit of the American West, the piece carries the solitude, freedom and uncertainty that have defined West of Everything from the beginning.
There’s something bittersweet about the word Godspeed. It isn’t goodbye. It’s what you say when someone has to go — when their path is theirs alone, and all you can do is wish them well on the journey.
