Dying Breed, Chapter XI of West of Everything, is a portrait of what remains when an era refuses to go quietly.

Boots kicked up. Cigarette burning. Revolver within reach. The cowboy sits with the ease of a man who has spent a lifetime answering to no one. There is no showdown unfolding and no horse waiting outside—only the weathered remains of a way of life slowly disappearing into history.

Rendered in layers of acrylic, oil and heavy modeling paste, Dying Breed carries a raw, tactile surface that echoes the grit and imperfection of the old West. The muted landscape and worn earth tones are interrupted by the signature red bandana, while the cigarette pack and revolver become remnants of a character—and an era—defined by independence, rebellion and survival.

The skeleton is not simply a symbol of death. He represents something disappearing.

The outlaw.

The drifter.

The gunslinger.

The cowboy who lived by his own code.

Men like him once became legends across the American frontier. Today, only their stories remain.
