Drawn to the League

Started with Crayons, No. 4

The fourth painting in my Started with Crayons series, Drawn to the League captures the way childhood imagination fuels lifelong ambition. A young boy sits on the floor in oversized football gear, clutching a ball while surrounded by scattered crayons. On the wall behind him, childlike marks come to life — the NFL logo sketched in crayon, alongside a play drawn as if from a coach’s chalkboard.

Reflected in the visor of his helmet is the vision he holds closest: the Lombardi Trophy gleaming under the lights of a roaring stadium. Painted in oil on a 40x30-inch wood panel, the work contrasts innocence with destiny — reminding us that from day one, the dream has always been there.

print size: 24” x 18”
